Welcome to The Summer Minds 2012! We are busy planning a fantastic academic experience for you. Here's what Elena Harris, mother of Alex, one of our 2011 participants had to say about her daughter's experience:

"The Summer Minds program can be best described as a young learner's journey toward independent and critical thinking, a journey encompassed by academic and social growth, and by an exploration and discovery of one's strengths and interests. Students are encouraged to explore their abilities and to not settle for casual and predictable thinking. Rather they are swept up in the passion and excitement of using their minds and unleashing their thinking to shed a new light within themselves that was previously undiscovered. This all takes place in an atmosphere of connectedness, sincere support and a passion for learning. Our daughter not only looked forward to each day of this program with unparalleled enthusiasm, but she was saddened at the conclusion of the three weeks. For our daughter to have been supported and mentored in such ways was truly a gift of lasting impression on her young mind."

Socrates' Cafe
Friday afternoons on The Summer Minds are a chance for participants to practice the principles of public speaking. We ask all students to present what they have learned in the style of the critically acclaimed TED talks.
